What do you prefer, continue Masters in IT Degree or take a certification exam?
I am on my second year in my masters in information technology degree and I find it very un-useful because of the college/university’s curriculum, instructors, professors, policies and almost everything is very discouraging. I also work almost 16hrs/day and earn up to $600-700/month. What I am planning is to stop my master’s degree, take up cisco certification exam, pass, and go abroad or continue this life of mine which is so tiring yet nothing seems to happen to me?

Someone I’m very close to has a degree in economics, but has several CCNA and CCNP certifications. They make quite a bit of money as a network engineer for the government.
So the answer to your question: you would fair well if you just took the certification exam and continued to pass it every few years, or as required by your program.
I think the faster implementation of my plan is very important, so I chose the certification exam, and like you I went to Cisco certification, it helped me
